The mission of the CSU Young Democrats is to promote an active interest in governmental affairs among the people of CSU, to encourage involvement in the political process and our community, also to support candidates and causes upholding our principles, and to promote justice and social welfare on CSU campus and surrounding Larimer County.
We champion an economy that works for everyone, not just the few. This requires a that the largest corporations and top earners pay their fair share. That revenue must then be invested in the people from universal early childhood and education to universal healthcare, public housing, and a new green deal
The burden of pollution and climate change falls disproportionately on low-income communities and people of color. Our commitment is to fight for a sustainable future through renewable energy, holding corporate polluters accountable, and not only ensuring that our economy is not only strong but also green.
We believe that human dignity is the foundation of a just society both home and abroad. Our advocacy is focused on dismantling systemic barriers and advocating for the freedom of all people around the world. We work to ensure that fundamental rights are guaranteed for all, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status, disability, or immigration status.
A fair economy requires that workers to be able to hold collective power. We stand in solidarity with unions and the movement to empower all workers to organize in their workplaces, and work promote living wages, and dignity on the job. Our fight is not just survive but get head.
